A presentation exploring the opioid crisis and other substance abuse issues in Coles County was held on Thursday, September 28, at 6:30 p.m in the Cross County Mall at the former Deb's clothing store near J. C. Penneys. Representatives from the sheriff's department, the Department of Health Studies at Eastern Illinois University, the States Attorney office, and Lifelinks Mental Health facility explored the issue of substance abuse in Coles County and answered questions.
